In 2012 verliet zij Christie’s om haar onafhankelijke bedrijf TAXATIES & ADVIES op te richten. Haar werkzaamheden omvatten taxeren, bemiddeling bij verkoop van kunst, juwelen, antiquiteiten en zilver. Daarnaast geeft zij lezingen en treedt op als veilingmeester voor goede doelen. Haar ervaring bestaat uit meer dan dertig jaar in de Internationale Kunstmarkt als specialiste bij Sotheby’s, Christie’s en als oprichtingspartner bij Glerum c.s. Zij studeerde Kunstgeschiedenis in Groningen en Leiden.

In 2012 Bernadette left Christie’s to found her independent company in art valuations and advisory TAXATIES & ADVIES. She values for various purposes, she consigns arts, jewellery, antiquities and silver. She lectures and is an auctioneer for charities. For over thirty years she has worked as a specialist in the International Art Market at Sotheby’s and Christie’s Amsterdam and abroad. She was a founding partner of Glerum c.s., nowadays AAG. She studied History of Art in Groningen and Leiden.
